Best man speech for Tom

For those who don't know me, I'm Danny. Tom and I met the first week of university, when he knocked on my door at two in the morning to ask if I owned a screwdriver. I did not. We spent the next hour trying to take a bed frame apart with a butter knife.

That's Tom. He will start something with absolutely no plan, and somehow you will end up helping him finish it, and somehow you will enjoy it.

Then he met Sarah. And for the first time in fifteen years, Tom had a plan. He had a ring, he had a speech, he had the restaurant booked. He was so nervous he left the ring in the car.

Sarah, thank you for taking him on. Tom, thank you for being the kind of friend who knocks at two in the morning. Please raise your glasses to Tom and Sarah.
